The 'thing'
isn't something major - not an expensive item or a time intensive
activity. Although other people might think the 'thing' is silly, to the
person who yearns for it, it is of great importance. Those that don't
understand will be unsupportive of the yearner. They will tell he or she
to get over it or that it doesn't matter. The problem is, the person
doing the chiding cannot feel the soul of the person who wants the
'thing' very badly. They don't understand how the small 'thing' - truly
just a simple action - means so very much to the person and his or her
soul.
The person opened her soul
up, shared her gray moments and a dream that may not have happened
without the person who holds control over the 'thing.' And despite
thinking the 'thing' would take not but a minute or two, there is just
silence.
With reluctant acceptance that the 'thing' will not happen, the soul becomes cemented even more in the daily gray.
